What's New in the World of Houseboating?
April 30, 2004, houseboats.com announces the addition of two new state-of-the-art, luxury houseboat models to their rental fleet. "These new custom designed vessels will set the standard by which top-of-the-line luxury houseboats are measured," states General Manager of Shasta Lake Resorts LP, Mike Han.
Twin Anchors Marine in British Columbia built the new houseboats. Mike Han worked closely with Twin Anchors on the unique design of the models. The two houseboat models were christened the Corinthian and Escapade at Jones Valley Resort located on Shasta Lake.
Some of the new and interesting amenities include a sunken gourmet galley with every appliance imaginable, four private staterooms with private access to a bathroom, an air-conditioned penthouse loft, and a six-person hot tub. "We combined luxury with family fun and have developed houseboat features that appeal to every member of the family," says Mike Han. Entertainment aboard the Corinthian and Escapade include a 27" TV with auto tracking satellite, XM Radio(c), CD/DVD with surround sound, upper deck mini-fridge and wet bar, faux fireplace, and a waterslide.
